- Company Profile:
A method of creating the look of 2D cel or cartoon animation using 3D modeling and animation software. Elements of the “toon” look include profile lines (outlines), border lines, crease lines, intersection lines, and solid color shading.
Combined, these elements recreate the look of traditional animation “ink and paint” technique, where ink refers to lines and paint refers to shading.
Industry:Software
1. The totality of an object’s shape, number of spans, and degree.
2. The relationships between surfaces in a solid model: for example, between loops, edges, and vertices.
Industry:Software
To slide the camera view either horizontally or vertically. In other software packages, it is known as pan.
Industry:Software
In shading, a tool that transfers surface characteristics from one surface to a texture map on another. This tool is useful when you want to reduce the number of calculations for the objects in your scene (for example, to create game-friendly models with the look of high-quality film models). This tool was previously named the Surface Sampler.
Industry:Software
A node that contains an object’s transformation attributes. That is, values for its translation, rotation, and scale. A transform node also holds information on any parent-child relationships it has with other nodes. Also known as DAG object.
Industry:Software
An operation that changes the position or shape of an object, such as translation (linear movement), rotation, and scaling.
Industry:Software
To change the position of an object without changing its shape, size, or orientation.
Industry:Software
A surface can be transparent or opaque. When ray tracing a transparent surface, light rays that penetrate the surface bend, and the light is refracted.
