RSC (Referee Stops Contest)

This is when the referee stops the fight because a boxer, has been hurt, is being badly beaten or has reached the standing-eight count limit and the referee does not think the boxer should continue. In the official scorebook, the winner's name is written down and RSC is written after it and what round the match was called, i.e. John Jones, RSC (7).
